Hi son, what a carry on here last night, had the two kids staying over, went to bed around midnight I was lying watching t.v.wee Robert was playing his p.s.p. and Christy was sleeping it must have been after 1am. I said to Robert listen to the rain, it was so loud and it went on for over half an hour, I remembered I hadn't taken my pills so I went down stairs to get them, as I passed the front door I could see something glistening outside so I opened the door to see what it was, when I looked out the cul-de-sac had turned into a river, a water main had burst at the top of the street there was rubble and mud shooting out this hole in the pavement, my garden was like a swimming pool the water was only about 2 inches from the top of the step, I had bought a load of plants for you, they had been sitting in the garden, they were floating down the side of the house what a carry on it took the water board nearly an hour to come and turn it off. Luckily there wasn't too much damage mainly the chips from the side garden were all washed down on to the grass and everything is covered in mud, but the water board said they would sent someone out on Monday to fix it. So didn't get to my bed till about 4am. and the workmen chapped me up just before 8am. to tell me they were starting work on the pipe and that there would be no water for a couple of hours, luckily there was water still in the kettle from the night before so I had a cup of tea before Christy got up, what do you think she said as soon as she got up, "Gran I need a poo", normally she's lucky if she goes once a week, trust her, there was no water in the systern to flush the loo, so I'll leave that to your imagination. Anyway it will be her birthday next Sunday then Deans the following Thursday I'm not looking forward to that, imagine 21 how time flies, I think I will get him his provisional licence and a course of lessons maybe that will encourage him not to squander all his money if he could drive. going to go for now as I'm absolutely shattered. Speak to you soon , love you son, MUM xx.
